Paige Carson
Originally from the East Coast, Paige has dedicated many years to both her own recovery journey and helping others navigate theirs. She has transformed her personal challenges into a mission of purpose, offering support to those struggling with addiction. Outside of work, Paige enjoys being a devoted mother to her daughter, traveling, golfing, and cherishing time with her family. Her vision for Peak Recovery is to create a safe haven for individuals battling addiction, providing the guidance and support needed to lead them toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Clinical Supervisor
Wendy Weston LPC
Wendy is a dedicated and experienced professional with a strong background in law enforcement, social work, and mental health counseling. Born and raised in California, Wendy developed a passion for sports early in life. She pursued her education at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, and then later receiving a Master’s Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Idaho.
From 1984 to 1997, Wendy served as a police officer in Southern Utah, where she gained extensive experience in various roles. She spent nine years as a Patrol Officer, two years as an Undercover Narcotics Officer, and two years as an Investigator in the Sex Crimes Unit.
In 2000, Wendy shifted her focus to child welfare services and relocated to Idaho, where she joined Child Protective Services in Boise. For the next ten years, she specialized in conducting risk assessment investigations for abuse and neglect cases, utilizing her expertise in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and child advocacy.
In 2018, Wendy achieved her Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification through the Idaho Board of Licensure (IBOL). She is passionate about helping individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health challenges, providing compassionate and effective support to those in need.
Beyond her professional life, Wendy enjoys playing basketball, racquetball, traveling with her sister, and cherishing time with her daughter and grandson.

Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor
Erin Dominguez CADC MAC
Erin is passionate about family, craftsmanship, and helping others. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her Harley with her partner, spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, and building custom furniture in her woodshop.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Boise State University, as well as a Master's in Counseling with an emphasis in Addiction Studies and a Master's in Family Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Currently, Erin is pursuing a PhD in Counseling Education at Liberty University, where her dissertation focuses on Addiction Counseling.
Erin’s dedication to counseling and education stems from a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families on their journey to healing and personal growth.

Substance Abuse Disorder Associate
Kara Roark SUDA
Kara Roark is a certified Substance Use Disorder Associate with an Associate of Applied Science in Addiction Studies from TVCC. After battling addiction for 13 years, she achieved recovery in 2010 and dedicated her life to educating and empowering individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Her mission is to help others find the strength to overcome addiction and create lasting, positive change in their lives.
Passionate about her work, Kara thrives on collaborating with her team and guiding clients through education, empowerment, and problem-solving strategies. She finds great fulfillment in helping others regain control of their lives and achieve success in their recovery journey.
In her free time, Kara enjoys camping and exploring nature with her family, reading, listening to music, and swimming—all with a deep sense of gratitude for her life and the people in it.

Office Manager & Biller
Shawna Hinkle CMBC
Shawna has been the Office Manager at Peak Recovery for over 13 years. She obtained her certification as a medical biller and coder (CMBC) at Boise State University. As an Idaho native, more specifically a Caldwell native, she has been married for over 30 years and has raised three amazing children. Recently her family has expanded to include grandchildren who have been a blessing to her and her family. Shawna enjoys anything to do with the outdoors. She is an avid camper, kayaker, and dog lover.

Founder
Michonne Pieksma M.S., LPC,ACADC
Michonne completed her undergraduate degree at the Eastern Oregon University. She continued on to obtain her graduate degree at Capella University resulting in a Masters in Counseling Psychology (M.S.). She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the Idaho Board of Licensure (IBOL). She also holds a certification as an Advanced Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselor through the Idaho Board of Alcohol/Drug Counselor Certification (IBADCC). Michonne has been working with the addicted population since 2006 and specializes in Co-Occurring Disorders. She also has specialized training in Trauma Therapy. Her passion and dedication to her field and staff is unparalleled. She aspires to continually stay up-to-date with all the latest counseling modes and techniques. Her innovation and client centered approach to counseling has made a real impact in hundreds of lives throughout her years of service in the field of counseling, more specifically addictions counseling. Michonne loves to hunt, fish, and spend time in the great outdoors with her family. Michonne then made the decision to sell Peak Recovery and embrace her well-earned retirement. Throughout her career, she has positively impacted the lives of clients, and she now looks forward to this next chapter with gratitude and excitement.
